Counselling supervision is a process of growth for you, your clients and your therapy practice.
Pictured below is an unfurling fern in springtime, taken in a local wood. My supervision practice offers an unfolding of you and your practice in the same way.
The right conditions help to unfurl the fern, known as a ‘Koru’.

“In Te Reo Māori, the word ‘Koru’ literally translates to ‘loop’ or ‘coil’, highlighting its distinctive spiral shape. A powerful symbol deeply rooted in Māori culture, the Koru represents fresh starts, personal growth, and an unwavering hope for the future.” (Ref: Arrowtown Stonework, NZ)
This speaks to me about the process of supervision.
Fresh starts occur in each new supervision session and even within a session itself. Personal growth is a welcome side effect of supervision. Also, together, we hold hope for the future, acknowledging this for our clients and ourselves.

As a fully qualified, accredited and experienced Counselling Supervisor based in Warwickshire, I provide professional and ethical supervision for counsellors in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick, Leamington Spa, and surrounding areas.

Supervision in different contexts
Since my BA (Hons) Level 6 counselling qualification in 2017, I started my private practice and have been fully booked for many years with clients.
I meet clients and supervisees face to face, online, telephone and outdoors. The following contexts are available to supervisees.
- Telephone Supervision: For convenience, we can hold sessions over the phone offering a workable solution to your supervision needs.
- Online Supervision: Secure and flexible sessions via video call, allowing you to access professional supervision from the comfort of your home or office.
- Outdoor Walk-and-Talk Supervision: A unique approach to supervision that takes place in natural settings around Warwickshire, offering a reflective and restorative space to discuss client work whilst walking in nature.
- Face-to-Face Supervision in a Garden Summerhouse: For those who prefer an in-person experience in a welcoming, private, and comfortable setting, I offer supervision sessions in my garden summerhouse, creating a relaxed and contained environment for reflection and growth.
Above all, I am flexible, so we can have a mixture of these formats, depending on your supervisory needs.
Chance to develop your counselling skills
My goal in supervision is to de-shame the process and attempt to equalise the power dynamics often apparent in a supervisory dyad. We will work together to give you a chance to develop your client work, experience, skills and practice.
Educational trauma can be a regular occurrence for many, either from childhood schooling to adult learning situations.
Additionally, I am aware how important it is to be an empathic and caring presence and to pay attention to any difficulties you have faced previously to ensure you feel safe to learn and grow.
Counselling supervision which pays attention to cultural landscapes
Firstly, I am curious about your cultural background and identity, modalities, skills, current learning and where you would like to head.
Secondly, I am interested in where your clients are on their therapy path and the cultural landscape they inhabit.
Finally, exploring all of our diverse contexts of existing in the world can provide invaluable insights into the therapeutic and supervisory process.
Transparent philosophy of counselling supervision
My philosophy of supervision loosely utilises a couple of different models of counselling supervision. I am open to sharing these ways of working to develop a fully transparent way of working with you.
This gives you an opportunity to understand the various dynamics involved in our process alongside discovering those of yours with your client.
With me, you may find supervision stimulating, lively, challenging, energising, honest, playful and sometimes demanding.
I am confident the conditions I provide you in supervision will ensure you grow and learn whilst allowing you to develop a safe and ethical practice for your clients.
What to expect from counselling supervision
My counselling supervision will provide a dedicated space to:
- Reflect on your client work in a supportive and non-judgmental setting
- Deepen your understanding of theoretical concepts in practice
- Explore ethical dilemmas and professional boundaries
- Enhance self-awareness and resilience as a therapist
- Receive guidance on case management and professional development

Resources to help you
In addition, I worked at a website design agency for a decade before I qualified as a psychotherapist. Therefore, I have a wide understanding of websites, SEO and social media marketing.
This can be offered as an additional resource in our time together, although our priority and main focus will always be your client work.

For our initial contact, we can have a free 30 minute informal discussion to check out if we could work together.
Supervisory contracting occurs in our first session, once we have formally agreed to work together.

Feel free to ask any questions about this initial meeting, the supervisory process or anything else. I would love to hear from you.
Join me in a collaborative journey offering a fresh start, hope and growth, just like the ‘Koru’.
I acknowledge and deeply respect the Indigenous Māori communities of Aotearoa, whose rich cultural heritage and sacred symbols inspire and guide. I use these symbols with gratitude and reverence for their origins, meaning, and guardianship.
