FAQs about Counselling
Attending therapy can be a daunting prospect. Here at Counselling Warwickshire, my aim is to make the process as easy as possible for you. Below you will find some FAQs which are commonly asked by clients.
How much will therapy cost?
A discount is available for the first session, reduced to £30.00. This gives you a chance to see if you would like to work with me as your therapist and attend further sessions.
My standard fee is £45.00 per 50 minute session. However, if you are experiencing financial difficulties, I may be able to consider a reduction.
Payment can be made either in cash or a direct bank transfer 24 hours before each session.
How many therapy sessions will I need?
As we are all individuals with our own unique and different issues, this is a difficult question to answer without meeting you. Some people find a few sessions is sufficient to explore problems and to make the changes they desire.
However, other clients may benefit from more long-term work if they are attempting to work through long-established behaviours or issues. Whatever your requirements are, we can discuss and agree the number of sessions in the initial session.
I work with the belief that a client has their own answers and the counsellor is there to facilitate them in finding those answers. This also applies to how many sessions you may need.
I perform regular reviews with clients throughout our time together. This is to check that you are happy with how the work is progressing.
How often will I need to attend?
Counselling is generally most beneficial when undertaken on a weekly basis and each session will normally last 50 minutes. Although, this is negotiable. We can discuss this in an initial session to suit your needs.

I’ve worked with this approach successfully with many clients. I am confident that with my compassionate support and a trusting therapeutic connection you can make the changes you want to make.

What happens next?
It is important that you are able to make an informed choice about whether I am a counsellor that you would feel comfortable working with. Also, whether my counselling approach is right for you. To help you find out, I offer a reduced rate first session.
During this initial consultation, you will be able to ask any questions you may have about the counselling process. We will consider your expectations and you can find out how therapy can work for you. Furthermore, you can decide whether working with me is for you.
If you think I may be the right therapist for you, I am more than happy to talk further.
