We are social beings, but sometimes we find it hard to get make our relationships work. When you are in an unhappy bond, you need support because it can feel like a very lonely place.
Perhaps you have experienced infidelity or a betrayal? Or maybe you are in an abusive situation and feel scared to do anything about it? These circumstances can be extremely difficult to cope with alone.
Trust has been broken and this can lead to uncomfortable feelings. Sometimes we struggle on alone and symptoms of anxiety and depression may surface.
Relationship issues vary
There are all kinds of relationship problems whether involving a spouse, an ex-lover, a friend or a lack of anybody close to you. So, the situation itself may vary.

Experiencing a separation or a marriage breakdown can be devastating. It can leave us with a range of difficult feelings. These may include sadness, anger, disappointment and uncertainty. Therapy provides a confidential space to discuss your loss.

Couples can feel overwhelmed by the challenges they face. Furthermore, conflict and arguments can cause alienation and isolation which is difficult to deal with.
Currently, I am unable to offer couples counselling. However, clients who come individually can still benefit from exploring their feelings with an impartial counsellor.
A lack of close connections
If you do not have many close relationships, you may yearn for the closeness of a romantic connection or friendship. As a result, you may feel something is missing from your life and this can be distressing.
In therapy, you can discover your own patterns of relating. This offers an opportunity to look at any difficulty you find in establishing close ties.

Consensual Non-Monogamy
Maybe you’re considering opening up your partnership and would like a safe space to talk through how this may work. Perhaps your partner has approached you about ethical non-monogamy and you are having difficulty in understanding them or how you feel. Alternatively, you may be considering solo polyamory and have a need to discuss your hopes and fears regards relating within multiple relationships.
