Human beings need relationships. We are hard-wired to connect to each other. Relationship counselling offers a confidential space for you to explore how you relate to others. As an experienced counsellor, I can help you to start enjoying more fulfilling relationships in your life.
Counselling for your relationships
The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances: if there is any reaction, both are transformed – Carl Jung.
I offer relationship counselling for individuals in Snitterfield, Stratford-upon-Avon and Leamington Spa. Together, we can explore confidentially how you feel about your current situation. You may be seeking tips and advice for how to navigate your current situation.
As a qualified counsellor with a wide experience of how we relate to each other, I can offer you support and guidance.
I understand how much of a big step it is to get help. So, if you choose to have therapy, you can share whatever you feel comfortable with at your own pace. It can be the start of feeling free to move forward in your life.
We are social beings, but sometimes we find it hard to get make our relationships work. When you are in an unhappy bond, you need support because it can feel like a very lonely place.
Perhaps you have experienced infidelity or a betrayal? Or maybe you are in an abusive situation and feel scared to do anything about it? These circumstances can be extremely difficult to cope with alone.
Relationship issues vary
There are all kinds of relationship problems whether involving a spouse, an ex-lover, a friend or a lack of anybody close to you. So, the situation itself may vary.
Psychotherapy helps you to unpack how you feel about all manner of different issues.
Separation and divorce
Experiencing a separation or a marriage breakdown can be devastating. It can leave us with a range of difficult feelings. These may include sadness, anger, disappointment and uncertainty. Therapy provides a confidential space to discuss your loss.
Couples can feel overwhelmed by the challenges they face. Furthermore, conflict and arguments can cause alienation and isolation which is difficult to deal with.
Currently, I am unable to offer couples counselling. However, clients who come individually can still benefit from exploring their feelings with an impartial counsellor.
Lack of close connections?
If you do not have many close relationships, you may yearn for the closeness of a romantic connection or friendship. As a result, you may feel something is missing from your life and this can be distressing.
In therapy, you can discover your own patterns of relating. This offers an opportunity to look at any difficulty you find in establishing close ties.
Developing this understanding helps clients to build more successful companionship with others. Previous clients have shared their feedback and experiences about my practice.
Above all, whatever the problem, help is available in the form of counselling.
