Telephone and online counselling offer a flexible and accessible way to receive support from the comfort of your own home – or wherever feels right for you.
Both formats are effective for therapy and provide the same person-centred, confidential approach as face-to-face sessions. For many people, being able to access support without travelling makes a significant difference, particularly when managing anxiety, low mood, health difficulties or a busy life.
As an Accredited NCPS Counsellor, I offer online and telephone counselling to adults across the UK.

Who might benefit from online or telephone counselling?
Remote counselling can be particularly helpful if you:
- live at a distance from my Warwickshire locations
- find it difficult to travel due to health, disability or caring responsibilities
- have a busy schedule and need flexible appointment times
- experience social anxiety or find it easier to open up from a familiar environment
- prefer to access therapy discreetly from home
- are going through a period of illness, recovery or low energy
Online and telephone counselling are not a lesser alternative to face-to-face therapy. For many people, working remotely feels more comfortable and allows them to engage more openly from the start.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does online counselling work?
Online counselling takes place via video call, allowing us to see and hear each other in real time. I use Doxy.me, a secure, encrypted platform that is free for you to access – no account needed. You simply click the link I send you at your appointment time.
Sessions can be accessed on a laptop, tablet or smartphone. It is recommended to have up-to-date antivirus software installed on your device.
How does telephone counselling work?
For telephone counselling, we speak by phone at your agreed appointment time. There is no video element – just a confidential, focused conversation.
Some research suggests that telephone counselling can actually support deeper listening, as both client and counsellor pay closer attention to tone, pace and feeling without visual distraction.
Are online and telephone counselling effective?
Yes. Online and telephone counselling can be highly effective for many people. What matters most is feeling able to build a trusting therapeutic relationship where you feel heard, understood and accepted.
Some clients find it easier to open up from the comfort of their own environment. Online and telephone sessions can also provide greater flexibility for those with busy lives, health difficulties, caring responsibilities or anxiety around travelling to appointments.
I offer online and telephone counselling for adults across Warwickshire, including Snitterfield and Leamington Spa, as well as throughout the UK.

Practical considerations
Before we begin working together online or by telephone, I will ask you to read and confirm agreement to a specific Online or Telephone Counselling Agreement. This covers confidentiality, technical arrangements and how we manage any difficulties that may arise.
It is important that wherever you access your session from, you are in a private and comfortable space where you feel safe to speak openly.
During our first session together, we will:
- complete an initial assessment
- discuss how telephone or online counselling can support you
- check that we can work safely and ethically in this format
- agree how our sessions will be structured going forward
If you are unsure whether online or telephone counselling is right for your situation, please feel free to get in touch and we can discuss it together.
Fees and session length
Sessions last 50 minutes.
My standard fee is £60.00 per session. Initial sessions are charged at £30.00, giving us the opportunity to explore how we might work together before committing further.
A limited number of reduced-rate sessions are available for clients on low incomes, benefits or those in counselling training.
